In partnership with Longchamp
Rain glosses the pavement outside a late-night café in Paris, and somewhere between the steam rising from an espresso cup and the blur of passing headlights, a woman decides who she wants to become next. Fashion often begins in moments like these: instinctive, emotional, sparked by propulsion rather than certainty. And for Autumn Winter 2026, Longchamp captures that sensation with a collection shaped by curiosity, travel and the magnetic pull of reinvention.
Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine imagines the Longchamp woman as an explorer guided by intuition. She moves between cities and landscapes collecting impressions, textures and fragments of memory, transforming them into a distinctive personal style. There is a more surefooted sense of elegance to the collection’s workwear-inspired silhouettes, each softened by mineral shades of beige and khaki, while simultaneously being sharpened with fresh pastels, metallic leathers and sky-blue accents. The mood feels connected to both urban architecture and open terrain, balancing practicality with artistry.

At the centre of the collection is Le Pliage Xtra, a refined evolution of one of Longchamp’s most recognisable signatures and a style positioned to become the season’s defining accessory. Revisited in a sleek East-West silhouette crafted from supple cowhide leather, the bag reflects fashion’s growing appetite for streamlined proportions that sit effortlessly beneath the arm while still accommodating daily essentials. Its elongated shape and long handles create a silhouette designed for movement, while shades of earthy mocha, tundra green and wave blue sit alongside timeless neutrals that ground the collection with quiet sophistication. Just as importantly, Le Pliage Xtra embraces personalisation, designed to be adorned with an array of charms and accessories that transform the bag into something instinctive, individual and collected over time.

The pieces feel at once polished and spontaneous, refined yet adventurous – almost as though they belong equally in an artist’s studio, an airport lounge or on a rain-soaked boulevard. Bag charms and keepsakes become an essential part of that narrative, taking the form of souvenirs gathered through a peripatetic life and lending the collection a spirit that feels deeply personal rather than purely styled. Attached to streamlined silhouettes like Le Pliage Xtra, they inject wit, individuality and a sense of movement into the season’s accessories.

Through this collection, Longchamp revisits its most recognisable icon with striking confidence. Le Pliage One takes the familiar codes of the beloved Le Pliage and distils it into a monochrome statement. Designed in a subtly elongated shape with extended handles, the bag sits close against the body; almost becoming part of the wearer’s rhythm as she moves through the day. Every detail – from the recycled nylon canvas to the leather flap and hardware – arrives in one saturated hue. Black appears sleek and graphic; burgundy, rich and cinematic; lemon yellow cutting through the dull of winter with a flash of energy.

Artistic references, including the textile works of Belgian visual and textile artist Caroline Hélain and the sculptural forms of English designer Thomas Heatherwick’s La Maison Unique staircase in SoHo, reinforce that sense of movement and imagination. And for Autumn Winter 2026, Longchamp invites us to dress with instinct, curiosity and just a touch of daring.
