Proof Aryna Sabalenka’s style is a force to be reckoned with

There was a time when tennis style was dictated by tradition. Crisp whites and pleated skirts left little room for personality. Thankfully, the sport has loosened its dress codes over the past two decades, making room for today’s biggest stars to bring their individuality to the court. And few are doing it better than Aryna Sabalenka.

The Belarusian world number one commands attention in more ways than one. Her game is explosive and relentlessly powerful, yes, but away from competition there’s another reason to keep your eyes trained to Sabalenka: her wardrobe. Whether she’s layering activewear with stacks of jewellery, wandering the streets of Paris in a matching set, or stepping out for Gucci in her role as brand ambassador, Sabalenka’s style (much like her tennis skills) is second to none.

Her fashionable prowess was cemented in 2024 when Gucci named Sabalenka its first-ever tennis brand ambassador. It was a landmark appointment for the Italian fashion house, signalling a growing appetite for athletes whose influence extends well beyond their sport.

She’s equally recognisable on the court, thanks to a partnership with Nike that sees her in custom-made looks for every tournament. And, unlike many players, Sabalenka rarely strips back her jewellery before a match. Necklaces, watches, and bracelets are as much a part of her match-day uniform as her Nike dresses. If we had that kind of jewellery, we’d be keeping it on too. Of course, the latest addition to her stack is arguably the most meaningful – an oval-cut engagement ring from longtime partner (and founder of Oakberry), Georgios Frangulis.

As we gear up for Wimbledon – the sport’s most traditional Grand Slam – we’ll be watching Sabalenka closely, not only as she makes a bid for her 5th title, but no doubt looks impeccable doing it. In the meantime, get reacquainted with the athlete’s best looks, below.
