I’ve found my spring calendar filling up so quickly already, with weddings, end-of-year events, 30ths and more. All perfect occasions for the right dress! I came across MISE recently, a Sydney-designed swim and resortwear label, and instantly fell in love with the Kera Dress in silver. The draping is so beautiful and the dress really moves with you. It’s also the kind of dress that can easily be paired with either a pair of heels or flats. J’adore.
Another brand I’ve recently discovered and fallen in love with is Belle Anna. All of their dresses are gorgeous, but one I particularly love is the Ornament Dress in sand. I’d wear it with one of their belts, layered with some long beaded necklaces. So gorgeous.
I’m attending a wedding next week and this dress from SIR feels like the perfect spring option. Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. Although these florals are in a blurred poppy print, so I’ll allow it. Paired with a simple bag and black heels and I’m good to go. Lastly, I’m still not quite over this cowl-neck dress from Bec + Bridge (not sure I ever will be). It really is a showstopper.

I have been shameless staring at this Harris Tapper dress ever since the seasons changed. It’s high on my wishlist for sure and the perfect eveningwear piece for sultry Sydney nights. I actually already own this Roame dress and it will be high on rotation for my events this summer. The brand has a similar piece with blue beading in the same colour that I also have my eyes on.
How pretty is this Isabelle Quinn Stella Maxi Dress? I think it’s perfect to wear to a summer wedding. For more casual summer wear, I am obsessed with this Arcaa top and skirt set – It’s not a dress but it’s a two piece set that can be worn as a dress. I love the fact that it’s completely reversible so you can wear it in brown or in blue. The top can also be worn back to front. It’s really smart and the kind of set that is so great to travel with. I have this Faithfull dress in blue, but I adore it in white. It’s on clearance sale too! I’m also eyeing off almost everything new in season at Matteau but particularly these two: this tomato-toned breezy dress and this polka mini. I think the mini is the kind of piece you can dress up for a bar but also you can wear with sandals during the day.

Spring is my nirvana for dressing. My body temperature is in equilibrium and I can wear whatever I want. Full freedom of expression, no external factors hindering my outfit ambitions. This Fidan Novruzova dress is the seasonal piece of my dreams. I can’t stop opening tabs and gazing at it longingly.
Sydney’s evenings still permit an extra layer, helping me justify the acquisition of this Harris Tapper blazer, which I’d wear for events with a fun skirt like this one by Julie Kegels. This August Barron masterpiece is what I see when I close my eyes. I’d wear the whole look everywhere, all the time, but especially after dark. Although I have a surplus of them, I can always do with one more black evening dresses. This one by Róhe is the kind I would wear and revisit for the rest of my life.

I love a mini dress, and haven’t stopped thinking about the strapless, silky bubble shapes that went down the runway at Sandy Liang’s SS27 show. This bow-detailed style from Bernadette matches the energy perfectly.
I usually live in black, but I do like a dress with a little something going on. The sheer draped back on this Rotate, the neckline on this MNG and the wrap detail on this Pinky & Kamal are all the kind of details that make a little black dress feel less simple. I’m trying to let a little more colour into my wardrobe this Spring too. This Dôen check dress feels perfect for beach and shopping days, while this SIR open-back mini is great for everything in between. Oh, and this silk shift dress from Venroy.
I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect lace bra to wear under sheer pieces, and I think I’ve found a winner with OHEN. I adore the candy colour.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m obsessed with this Courtney Zheng Tuxedo Coat. I’m a creature of the night so evening wear is always on my radar and whilst I love dresses, I don’t think there is anything sexier than a woman in a tuxedo. Whilst on the topic of tuxedos, this Our Legacy shirt would make great evening wear. I love a dress coat as eveningwear while it is cool enough, and the Freya coat from Solaqua Studio has a beautiful cut.
In terms of spring dressing, I’m drawn to green and this Ofelia dress from Reformation could also be evening wear. I love the green velvet of this Pairo dress and do hope it gets restocked as I missed it first time, it too is fantastic evening wear…

A maxi dress is a low-effort, high-reward outfit choice, and has been the backbone of my spring wardrobe for many years. This one from Dôen has been on my mind for a few months now, and I’m waiting for my size to be restocked so I can add it to my cart. Red has been the colour du jour of my wardrobe of late. This red-and-white striped, open-back mini from Christopher Esber is the perfect transitional piece for sunset drinks as the daylight hours begin to stretch out.
A floral dress is also one of my staples in spring, this one from Réalisation Par or this piece from the Paris by CAMILLA collection, feels particularly fitting for the season.
This silver slip dress from Maison Essentiele, paired with a lightweight bomber, is perfect for day to night functions during that in-between period when the days are getting warmer but the evenings still call for an extra layer.

My spring calendar is packed to the brim with weddings, so I like to think I’ve got a fairly good grasp on the season’s best eveningwear. Unsurprisingly, spring is a season Dôen does very well – in particular, this black dress. It’s too good. I’ve also long been a fan of this style, and I’m waiting patiently for it to be restocked. Arcina Ori is another great special occasion brand – I’m loving this green (and the low-back detailing is perfect). And speaking of backless styles, this Beare Park dress would be perfect year-round.
For occasions that don’t require an actual gown (i.e., most of the time), I’m a big fan of this mini from Bondi Born. I’m also loving Posse’s latest drop – this cream dress in particular. And you can’t go wrong with a semi-sheer silk skirt as the weather gets warmer. This one from St Agni is proof of that.

I’ve been thinking about this gorgeous Libertie Gown from L’IDÉE since I saw it in our wedding guest dresses article and while I don’t have a spring wedding to attend, I could just wear it to the grocery store. Who’s that girl, so chic at the checkout? Me.
I just want to be girly! For right now anyway – watch that change within a week – so there’s no surprise to see this Bethilde Dress from Dôen on my wishlist. Under a well-tailored blazer would be a nice juxtaposition for spring evenings. I’m still in love with this Midi Dress from Rowie I picked up a while back. It’s perfect for a garden party or even Christmas lunch.
This Maggie Marilyn dress would be a great transeasonal dress in my wardrobe and I love the structure. Lastly, this Minima Esenciales halter dress is in my cart. I think the colour would compliment my fair, freckly skin.
