Spring weather can be notoriously volatile. One afternoon may require rain boots, and the next day one may be scrambling for a last-minute pedicure booking because how did winter come and go so fast?
Between scouring Depop for archive Gucci, debating what colour velvet wedge is the best choice, and deciding that leather thongs are indeed black-tie adjacent, the team has been deep in the shoe-sphere of late.
Here is what is currently open in our browser tabs, shopping carts, and daily rotations.

Really feeling a wedge for spring and Anonymous Copenhagen’s Gwen 75 is the perfect iteration. Equally, their Chung 25 in Tapir Calf Hair. My boyfriend also has a pair of the Plasticana Garden Clogs that are sheer perfection (I only wish his fit me).
I’ve also had my eye on a pair of mules, and these Calvin Klein Croc-Effect ones are on sale currently via Myer… they might just be calling my name.

Spring may have sprung but that doesn’t mean I’m quite ready to get my toes out just yet, so I find a mule to be my way of easing into spring shoes. Given that it’s not always raining – my love of velvet comes to the fore and these velvet mules by Ancient Greek Sandals are wonderful. I love how minimal the design is making them so versatile.
I’ve also been eyeing up these Aere Tala Leather Mules, equally simple and wearable in all situations. I’m afraid I will never not want a pair of Simone Rocha shoes every season and these Mary Janes are no exception. When I have acclimatised a little further and maybe found the time for a pedicure, I think the Suede Opanka Slides from St. Agni will need to join my collection.

Apart from my Tony Bianco thongs, which have already made a return to the rotation, I can’t stop thinking about slinky peep-toes. They’re everywhere right now – I’ll take any and all from Tory Burch, these from Brie Leon in a seafoam, and this flat style from Jude.
Dries Van Noten has been doing a wedge shape that I can’t get enough of. I’d happily have it in multiple colours, but this bright orange velvet feels particularly good for Spring. I can imagine wearing it with a super tonal look. I’m also loving the colour contrast on these Reformation thongs. Lastly, I recently bought these A.Emery heeled sandals and can’t wait to wear them.
Now, time to go and get a pedicure.

You know those wishlist pieces you keep open in tabs but haven’t bought? Well, these are mine. I have probably had these Frankie4 sandals open in a tab for over a year, maybe this is the season I will finally add to cart. The thing stopping me was that I wanted to try them on in person. But it’s been literally more than 12 months and I still love them, surely that’s a sign? The rest are more recent additions to my tab collection.
I’m on the hunt for these Gucci slingbacks. They’re a few seasons old so I’m scouring Depop, Vinted and The Real Real. These snakeskin print sandals from Alias Mae have the tiniest baby heel and I think they could be my perfect spring shoe. These Essen flats are the perfect pair to wear with sundresses. And finally I think these Saint Laurent slingbacks would look so good with blue denim.

I recently got my first pair of ballet flats and I don’t think they’ll be my last, especially having spotted these brown ones from Alias Mae. They’re similar to the classic style, but with a slight edge thanks to the raw knot replacing the traditional bow and creasing.
It seems we haven’t fully escaped the wet weather yet, so having a pair of rain boots on hand is always practical. Kate Moss just fronted Hunter’s 170-year campaign, and it was quite fabulous.
As always, a brown loafer is endlessly chic, with this pair from Julius Marlow coming into my recent rotation. Dr. Martens certainly knows how to make a sturdy shoe, and these loafers are sure to be no exception.
With the recent warm weather, I expect to have the dogs out at the beach a lot. I love a leather thong, and these A.Emery ones are perfect. I also love a funky shoe – while they might not be for me personally, these Camilla And Marc ones have such a fun texture and movement.

There seems to be so many options for spring. And I’m loving it. Thongs (or flip flops) are definitely no longer just for the beach. I’m loving the latest colour spectrum of Archies thongs, though can’t go past the simple black ones (and they have built in arch support which make them extra comfortable). Or these leather and shearling thongs from Senso. I like to pair them with black tailored pants or shorts. Ballet flats too, like these from Bloch are in my cart.
I’ve had these slipper style from The Row on my wish list for a while as well. And I also love the classic Bensimons for the weekend.

I’m pretty relaxed when it comes to footwear and tend to prioritise comfort over anything else. For spring, I’m looking for a few pieces that feel a little more considered without being too precious. The Elka Vela Heel has been on my radar for its rich espresso colour and slightly ’90s feel, while I’ve been eyeing up the Archies Classic Thongs in coral for something easy to throw on every day.
Also really loving the coloured shoe trend at the moment so these are perfect. I also love the shape of the Jeffrey Campbell Islara Sandal in brown, and the ISAH Rinca Sandal feels like the kind of understated summer shoe I’d wear on repeat. I’m also obsessed with the shell detailing.

Jazz shoes are all on my mind at the moment. And particularly Bottega Veneta’s, I truly believe they have some of the most comfortable shoes out there, and their design is so sleek. Most prominently I really badly need some black heels to go out in, I have a few weddings and events coming up.
Time to get the dogs out in these Saint Laurent Thong Heels. I did get these Inez Reformation pumps second hand off Depop the other day, and they have been on my feet ever since. Comfortable and chic.

I’ve had these Scarlet and Sam Noa Ballet Wedges on my mind for a few weeks, so they’re at the top of my wishlist. The yellow colourway is cute, too. Second on the list would be these Alohas Sway Patent Green Leather Ballet Flats. They’re delightful.
I still desperately need to get my feet in a pair of Maison Margiela Tabis (yes, I’m last to hop on the train but I’m an Aquarius, okay?).
Similarly to Mia, the Essen Sandals but in Chocolate would be super versatile and easy to reach for on hot days. One can not forget to mention Christopher Esber’s Jo Flip Flops. The best.
And lastly, I put the New Balance 1890A’s in my October roundup and they deserve an honourable mention here. Animal print is standing strong for us it seems.
