September always carries a distinct air, marked by the arrival of a heavy September issue (wink), the anticipation of fashion month kicking off in New York, and the welcome shift into warmer spring days. Add a couple of office birthdays into the mix, and the RUSSH team’s wishlists are looking particularly juicy.
Between grand self-gifting plots, a collective love for statement footwear, and the excitement for long, sunny afternoons, here is what we’re loving, topping up, and saving to our wishlists this month.

I’ve had my eye on this Harris Tapper graff jacket in embroidered velvet since it dropped. Adding it to our RUSSH YOOTOPIA store reminded me that it’d be perfect for spring evenings. These St. Agni jeans are in my cart right now, and I was so kindly gifted this Mira Polo from Assembly Label. It’s so soft.
I have a couple pairs of footwear on my wishlist this month. These ADISTAR CONTROL 5 SHOES look so comfortable – perfect for a trip to the weekend markets. I’d love to pick up these Tony Bianco Robyn Flats. Love the Snow Leopard Suede colourway.
Lastly, this Reversible Belt from Country Road (a great Father’s Day gift), and I’d like to try the new CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu Ambery Intense.

First up: these Dries patchwork boots are unreal. I wish I had a spare $3K right now to buy them, but alas. While doing research on flip-flop heels, I came across these stunning beach-ready Melissa Margot thong heels that I probably will be investing in as the weather warms. The key-lime green is very me. The Mabel Twist top from Arcaa is also a very cute take on an elevated basic, alongside these FWF Long Sleeve Tees (the baby pink is a fave – imagine with the lime green shoes post-beach!!) And lastly, I’m hoping to snag one of these epic keychains from Gemini Jewels (they go on sale at 5am though, so praying there are a couple left when I’m awake).

Perhaps it’s the promise of spring and those sun-filled afternoons we’ve been having lately, but for whatever reason, I’m feeling fun in the footwear department and have been eyeing off various pumps. I love these Rick Owens baby blue calf hair shoes, they are full of whimsy but could definitely be worn with sensible tailoring – like with the Tate Coat in Slate, for perfect Libran balance. I will always love Dries for their unique heel shape and these velvet wedge pumps are a slice of perfection.
As it is my birthday this month, I’m fantasising about buying myself a birthday look, and there are some strong contenders. Usually it is vintage Demuelemeester, but I am enamoured with this crystal embellished Simone Rocha Jacket. Equally divine is the Chanel Small Tote in dark brown, a gift that would last a lifetime.
I was entranced by the Claudia Li show at NZFW and have been thinking that I very much need this shirt with a gigantic bow. I mean, who doesn’t? Rather than cake and candles, I would love to have a glass of Dom Perignon with Encens 9 burning in the background. Or perhaps, take this portable record player to the beach at dusk with some Ochata Barrel’s ‘Impeccable Disorder’ Pinot Noir.

I just returned from New Zealand Fashion Week and I tried my best to wear Aotearoa designers as much as possible, while still supporting some of my favourite Australian labels too. If you don’t already know, I’m a big denim nerd, and these studded RUBY jeans were on heavy rotation. This batwing top from their new collection has also quickly become one of my favourite shades to wear.
Another set I can’t get enough of is this dress and pant combination from VRG GRL. I also recently discovered By IIou, and these pants paired with this blue top (yes, my new favourite colour, as mentioned) are the perfect pieces for the change in weather. If there was one trend that seemed to take over Aotearoa throughout the week, it was fringe. I felt right at home with this gorgeous silk fringe scarf from ROMY, and I love the thought of pairing it with this top.
For shoes, these boots from Bared Footwear are exactly what I’ve been looking for. These wedges from Tony Bianco are another pair on my list. And, of course, I can’t go anywhere without my MLM perfume and Merit lip liner, both of which I’m due for top ups.

I just ran out of my daily moisturiser, and I’m taking this as an opportunity to explore some others. Recently, I tried L’Occitane’s Youth Cream from a tester and really loved it – I might need to grab a pot. I also brought some Hommey Bath towels recently in their lovely blue colour, and I saw they have a matching bath robe… which I might need too. I recently got a pair of Reformation Inez pumps – I have loafers and slingbacks but these feel a bit more perfect for the day to day. But if I were to really dream, these CHANEL thongs would be a luxury purchase.
Thinking ahead for summer – as my pale skin does not gain colour at all – I need a bit of help from makeup. I wanted to purchase CHANEL’s bronzing cream but it sadly looks like it isn’t being restocked again (devastated). So I’ll need to try my ol’ faithful Westman Atelier sun tan bronzing duo palette. And finally, as I always have jewellery on my mind I’m dreaming of my next purchase. I’ve had my eye on my dear friend Monika Ruggerino’s bamboo bracelet. So unique and timeless.

I saw our Digital Marketing Specialist Jaime wearing this gorgeous knit this week in the office. I know it’s spring now, but the cool weather hasn’t left yet. And I have to admit, I am very tempted to buy one myself. I’m heading on holiday this month, so I do have to top up a few essentials, namely Merit’s cream blush and Ultra Violette’s Velvet Screen. I also have a new bikini from Monday Swimwear to wear for the occasion.
I did do a basics review as some of my existing ones were dead from 15 years of constant wear. Love the OGL ones as they do the best built in bras.
It’s my birthday month, so I also have a few extra wishes on my list. I love this knitted skirt from Faithfull and the existing knitted skirt I have is probably one of the most worn items in my closet, so I think the cost-per-wear on this piece will be strong too. This mini skirt from Rowie, it’s so pretty! And also these little Paspaley gold hoops.

I have recently run out of all my essential “boy makeup” products and have instead been embracing the winter uglies. I need to replenish my supply of off-duty-glow-stick in original and champagne. This combination stacked on the cheek is perfect to add a little dimension and colour into your face. Alongside my La Roche-Posay Effaclar tinted spot treatment, which doubles as a concealer for blemishes.
I have been really into all of the menswear at Dries Van Noten, and waiting for the spring ’27 collection to drop as it was divine. Loving these foldable Gentle Monster glasses and these Balenciaga glasses – a fan favourite in the RUSSH office.
I have such a love for western fashion and feel my roots in these Dr Martens boots which are also surprisingly comfy. Lastly, these two pieces from Esse Studios are so effortlessly chic: the scarf shirt in crema and portia duo blazer in black.

I’ve been moodboarding a fun heel for what feels like forever, and finally, this Balenciaga Leopard wedge feels like the perfect fit. Top of the wishlist.
This tailored tank and layered poplin and silk georgette skirt from Beare Park are such beautiful transeasonal pieces. I recently bought a cotton baby tee from there too, and can’t get over how soft the cotton is without compromising on structure.
Although Spring is on its way (thank goodness), there are still a few warmer pieces on my wishlist. I’d love this V-Neck sweater from Assembly Label in black (I’ve gotten so much wear from the grey). I’m also very into this shiny overcoat from Monphell and have been thinking about this Sandro navy leather jacket ever since I spotted it in a showroom a few months back.
I’ve just worn through a pair of boots, so am in urgent need of a replacement – these would be perfect. I’ve been swapping blacks for brown around my eyes lately, which I’ve found much more flattering. I’m keen to add MERIT’s Clean Volume mascara in brown to the routine. The tubing effect makes it that bit more practical too.

September is my birthday month so I feel like I’m allowed a little leeway when it comes to my shopping list (right?).
I love this off-the-shoulder silk top from Venroy’s new collection – I thought it was white, but it’s actually a very subtle pale pink. So pretty. I know we’re at the tail-end of winter, but adore this coat from Harris Tapper. I’m not sure how I’ve made it this far without a good black coat in my rotation to be honest. Similarly essential, I’m loving these black pants from Le Set. The perfect slim-line silhouette.
I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can slip into some slip skirts. I love this one by Flore Flore, and this semi-sheer one from St Agni. Speaking of, their shoes are so good at the moment – I need this zebra print pair. Such a cute tiny heel. And another accessory I’m lusting after is this Tissot Moonphase watch. Very chic.
Last but not least, I love this halter neck style from Realisation Par. It will be so good for wedding season.

To me, nothing says spring quite like a floaty silhouette in a pastel. At the top of my wishlist is practically anything from Dôen, particularly their romantic lace-trimmed blouses.
With a handful of rooftop birthday brunches in the calendar, I’ve also been browsing for the perfect occasion outfit. This Faithfull midi dress in cobalt check feels perfect for a wine under the afternoon sun.
I recently returned from Europe, and my footwear collection is in need of replenishing after averaging close to 40,000 steps a day. I paid a visit to the Repetto boutique in Le Marais during my trip, and this twisted Mary Jane style has been on my mind ever since (unfortunately they had sold out of my size), offering an edgier take on the classic ballet flat. The animal print pair are also incredibly fun. Maison Margiela’s tan Tabi flats have earned an evergreen spot on my coveted list too. To finish, I’ve been gravitating towards understated yet sculptural jewellery, like these Georg Jensen earrings. They’re pieces that feel timeless enough to wear every day.
In the realm of beauty, I’ve been carrying around a travel size of the Caudelie Grape Water, which is an instant refresher as we head into the warmer months, alongside this Ren hairbrush which has saved me when I have to run to post-work events. I’ve since added a full size to cart. I also recently spritzed Rouge Chaotique from Byredo and have already sent a few pre-birthday hints to people. I’ve been patiently waiting for my olive oil to run out so I can buy this tin from Golden Groves, which also serves as kitchen decor.
