Whilst the wind was blowing roofs off houses, tearing down trees and busy destroying umbrellas a group of talented change makers met for the first time.
WE HAD A FULL GUEST LIST!
From 60 registrations and only a limited amount of space for our first event, we really had to put our heads to work and see how we can make the most of it. So we did our best to curate a group which we could see a high potential for collaboration between the attendees. For those who couldn’t make it through the storm, were on the waiting list or didn’t even hear about it: WE HAVE A SOLUTION! Everyone who attended filled out one of the sheets you can see below, so you can now get in touch with whomever you might like to connect with. YAY!
OUR HOST
On this storm evening our host, the circular concept cafe, ISLA took good care of us with zero waste cakes and savoury snacks. Fun fact: On a regular weekend a cafe this size will throw out about 10 litres of milk because it has been heated for coffee, and shouldn’t be heated twice. What ISLA does with this is turning it into delicious thyme noted cheese which we were served on dark bread with a honey walnut topping. NOM NOM NOM.
