The world is just about to reach fever pitch next month. A burgeoning love for the world’s game – football (or soccer, depending on where you’re located on the globe) – is set to be at an all-time-high thanks to this year’s FIFA Men’s World Cup taking over the Americas. With double the teams and games playing across Mexico, USA and Canada, there really will be no bigger event on our televisions or dominating our attention.

Given we’re now a month out from kick off on the first group-stage matches, we thought there would be no better time than to dive into the football fashion trend that has been gaining traction over the last few years, spurred on by the likes of Julia Fox, Bella Hadid and Iris Law. At first glance, it isn’t a new look – especially not for the Brits among us, or for those of us who come from a long line of footy dads and lads who’ve long donned the aesthetic: vintage football or other sporting jerseys (the more obscure the better we say), baggy or straight-leg jeans (often Levi’s) or cargo shorts, and brightly coloured slim-fit sneakers to finish out the look – the adidas Samba being a fan favourite, of course.

If you’re not really sure where to start when it comes to this trend, your first port-of-call should be your local vintage or op-shops, which will likely carry some old-school sports paraphernalia or retro football kits (don’t forget to check the kids section!), perfect for pairing with your baggy jeans or maxi skirt. But if your local second-hand spots aren’t exactly a gold mine for this kind of stuff, then we’ve rounded up a selection of some of our current favourite soccer-inspired fashions to get you inspired.

    Here’s where we’ll be shopping the trend…

    Jacquemus

Jacquemus this week unveiled a new collaboration with the French Football Federation, reimagining the visual language of the French national team through the Maison’s distinctive lens, rooted in Simon Porte Jacquemus’ lifelong connection to football.

Early access to the full collaboration will be available via the Jacquemus website and the Equipe de France website from 11 June. The collection will also be coming to SNKRS and select retailers form 16 June.

The Mexican-American designer unveiled the “Comienza Con El Sueño” collection with adidas Originals this week – made for Team Mexico, and following on from its soft launch debut on Chavarria’s FW26 runway. It’s a capsule that includes the Willy Mega Low, Megaride AG XL, and the football-inspired Megaride Copa.

The full collection will be available from 10 June 2026 via the adidas website, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers.

    Levi’s

The American denim brand is dropping a line of ringer tees for 13 of the biggest countries playing in the World Cup – including France, England, Japan, Mexico and Brazil. The tees are available in a classic, full-length and standard fits as well as in a cropped baby tee silhouette – each in the colour palettes of their national flags.

The full collection will be available to purchase on the Levi’s website and select retailers starting 1 June 2026.

    Wales Bonner

Designer Grace Wales Bonner is king of 90s football nostalgia. Her own line Wales Bonner plays into the typical tropes and silhouettes of the games – and she also has a longstanding line in collaboration with adidas Originals that has become the benchmark for football-inspired design. She’s even put her name to pair of her own Predator boots.

You can shop the brand on the Wales Bonner website and in select retailers.

    I.Am.Gia

GIA SPORT is the newest capsule collection from I.Am.Gia “inspired by the energy of the world’s biggest game”. The new collection features new sports-inspired garments and exclusive team-inspired colourways of signature silhouettes like the BLARE tracksuits, micro shorts and skorts, fitted crop tees, swim, accessories, and more.

The full collection will be available to purchase on the I.Am.Gia website now.

    Puma x Salehe Bembury

Puma’s new Trvl Wear collection was created with longtime partner and designer Salehe Bembury, inspired by the culture and game of football. There are plenty of Puma’s legacy silhouettes reimagined through Bembury’s lens, as well as garments pulled from Puma’s national football federations – from Morocco to New Zealand

The full collection will be available to purchase on the Puma website and select retailers starting 4 June 2026.

    adidas Originals

adidas Originals is where you’ll find some of the best nostalgia-tinged performance and street wear designed with footballing sensibilities. They also have some sweet collabs dropping throughout the year, including a recent drop with Miaou and an ongoing partnership with Wales Bonner.

You can shop the brand on the adidas Originals website and in select retailers.

    Martine Rose

The London-based designer’s ready-to-wear collections exist at the intersection of Rose’s Jamaican British heritage and her interests in high-low street styles and music and sport subcultures. The brand has designed several highly acclaimed football-inspired collections and kits, including the England Women’s World Cup Kits, and several high-profile collabs with Nike.

You can shop the brand on the SSENSE website and in select retailers.
